Andrea Thomas, MSW, RSW

Andrea is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). She received a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Waterloo in 1984. She then completed her Bachelor and Master of Social Work degrees from McGill University (1986 and 1991). Prior to joining the WCFHT in 2015, Andrea worked as a Bilingual Counsellor at a local Family Service Agency for over 20 years providing counselling to individuals, couples, families and groups.  Andrea is an experienced generalist and provides counselling regarding a wide variety of issues, including: adjustment to changes in mental and physical health, managing anxiety and depression, relationship issues, intimate partner abuse and family violence issues, parenting concerns, adjusting to separation and divorce, and bereavement issues.
