**The weekend urgent care clinic is for patients of the West Carleton FHT only.** You MUST make an appointment as no walk-ins are accepted
This clinic is for urgent medical problems that cannot wait until the office re-opens for regular clinic hours. These clinics are not to be used for routine medication renewals or chronic problems. Clinic hours and booking instructions are below.
You will not be provided an appointment at a weekend clinic for the following:
Routine blood pressure checks
Regular prescription renewals
Results of lab tests or procedures
Requests for referrals, procedures or for appointments with your own physician
To book an appointment in the weekend urgent care clinic, please call the office or book online through the patient portal or UpPatient App. Bookings open up the same day and are not able to be booked in advance.
Online booking is only available at this time for a select list of Presenting Issues:
Cough
Sore Throat
Eye Infection (Pink Eye, Conjunctivitis)
Ear Infection
Urinary Tract Infection (Bladder infection)
Rash
More Presenting Issues for appointments will be available in the future.
To make an online appointment, start by logging into either the patient portal or the UpPatient App (See our Patient Portal Page for instructions and help here). Select Appointment, then New Appointment, then select the Presenting Issue, then In Person or Phone Visit, then the Appointment time, then depending on the Presenting Issue that was selected, you may be presented with a Pre-Visit Questionnaire that gathers information. If 'Other' is selected as a reason for booking, the appointment will be cancelled. Online booking can only be used for the above reasons at this time.
If you are looking to book an urgent care appointment for other reasons, or if you are unable to use our portal, you can still call and make an appointment. Booking through the online system will open at 8am on Saturday and Sunday.
For booking by phone, the phone lines open 30 minutes before the clinic opens, at 9:30am.
The weekend urgent care clinic is open: Saturday: 10:00 am - 1:00 pm Sunday: 10:00 am - 1:00 pm We are not accepting walk-ins at this time. If you have an appointment with our weekend urgent care clinic and have any potentially contagious symptoms (coughing, sneezing, runny nose, fever, vomiting, diarrhea, etc.) we ask that you please wear a mask. Please help protect your fellow patients and our staff from unnecessary exposure to illness. Masks are also available from reception. Mask Policy
When our office is closed, you have the option to speak to a Health 811 Nurse. They can answer your questions and help direct you to the appropriate medical care that you require.
Please do not go to a walk-in clinic.
Only use the hospital emergency department for emergent problems or if advised to do so by the nurse at Health Connect Ontario.
