The West Carleton FHT offers counselling in nutrition by a registered dietitian. Registered dietitians are regulated health professionals who promote health and wellbeing through good nutrition and healthy eating habits. They work collaboratively with the client to establish a plan for healthy eating and tailor advice to meet the client’s personal needs and challenges. The dietitian supports clients with questions concerning:
Chronic disease management (e.g. diabetes, high blood pressure, celiac disease)
Weight management
Prenatal nutrition
Picky eating
Vitamin & mineral deficiencies
Irritable bowel syndrome
Support with meal preparation and planning
