Our urgent care clinic is a weekend after-hours clinic available to enrolled patients of the West Carleton Family Health Team only. It is intended for health issues that arise suddenly (eg. Ear/eye infection, rashes, animal bites, etc.) that cannot wait until regular weekday office hours. Prescription renewals will not be done during this time.
Urgent Care Clinic Hours: Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Reserving a Time Slot
Patients may reserve a time slot via the Patient Health Portal or come to the clinic in person and register for the next available time slot. https://portal.wcfht.ca/
Please note: patients may not be seen on a first-come basis. We reserve the right to triage our patients based on the medical condition that has been presented. Whether you registered on the portal or in person, you may be required to wait. Registration reserves you a spot, however this is not an appointment time. Our physician can only process a limited number of patients per hour; please be patient. Anyone who has registered by 12:30 pm will be seen.
If you have booked an appointment for a weekday and no longer need it, please advise the receptionist.
If you reserve a weekend time slot and no longer need it, please call our cancellation line.
Our phone lines are not open during the Urgent Care Clinic due to the number of staff we have on duty to serve our sick patients.
If you require urgent consultation outside of our regular office hours, you can call the Telephone Health Advisory Service (THAS) at 1-866-553-7205.
In a medical emergency, always call 911 or go to your local emergency department.
